I recently stayed at Villa Mercedes Curio Collection by Hilton and overall the experience was okay. The common areas and amenities appear to have been recently remodeled, which gives the hotel a modern and more upscale look. The lobby and shared spaces feel refreshed and inviting. However, the guest rooms do not reflect the same level of renovation. The furniture feels outdated and could benefit from a full refresh. The blinds in my room were visibly dirty and had signs of mold, which was disappointing. The minibar was also not functioning properly during my stay. Housekeeping standards could be improved, as bed linens were not changed daily. While this may be part of a sustainability policy, it was not clearly communicated. The pool area has potential, but it is located in a shaded section of the property, which keeps the water very cold. Even in a tropical destination like Mérida, the pool was not comfortable to use. Investing in a pool heater would significantly enhance the guest experience. In summary, while the hotel has attractive remodeled amenities and a good overall foundation, the rooms and some maintenance details need attention to match the level of the public areas.

Stayed here a week unexpectedly when I sprained my ankle day 1 of my trip. The staff was terrific bringing me buckets of ice every day and delivering things to my room when needed. Big shout-out to all the nice doormen who facilitated my arrivals and departures with Uber. Used room service 3 times a day and servers were friendly, food was prompt and good, and it wasn't price-gouging. Beautiful downstairs lobby bar had a big screen with Olympics or soccer. Pool looked nice but as there's no elevator to the pool I couldn't use it (there is a ramp for wheelchairs, but the ramp was too hard on crutches). Room was spacious with a comfy bed (I had a king) and pillows, though sheets are definitely not "Frette" as seen on Expedia. There was a nice French door to open for fresh air though the balcony is just for show. Odd that they did not have a hair dryer, but I couldn't stand that long anyway. Heavenly shower.

Nice, spacious, clean, comfortable room. Surprisingly quiet. Convenient location. Plenty of hot water. Odd there weren’t many plugs next to beds for charging. Located on opposite wall. As we are vegetarians, we skipped the hotel restaurants…better options nearby for less money. Would stay here again.

El cuarto y el hotel muy bien en general y en muy buena ubicación. Para el tipo de hotel y el precio me decepcionó el estado de la alberca, se notó que no la han limpiado en mucho tiempo, hasta me resbalaba al caminar dentro de la alberca de lo sucia que estaba.

Room was ok for the price point, many aspects gave it “budget hotel” vibes. Many examples of this but just for one, asking for additional $ for more than 1 coffee/person felt extra cheap. Surprised this is Hilton brand, suggest the Hyatt next door. You can appreciate the cool architecture and get a better experience!
