Sleepless in Merced

The “train noise” was an unpleasant surprise. Other than a single wooden and uncomfortable desk chair, there was no place to sit except the bed. Slippers were advertised but NOT actually available upon arrival. The bathroom counter top was quite spacious but only one sink. Reservations for the in-house diner were not necessary UNTIL you asked to be seated without a reservation and the management was not immediately helpful!!!
