I purchased my room through Expedia for about $138 a night and the system offered breakfast for a dollar. My son ordered his room through the hotel website and paid $240 per night either no offer of a breakfast. Be aware of the differences. Breakfast was excellent. Room was clean, quiet and AC worked great. We had problems with the room door lock, changed keys twice and still had issues. They reported it to maintenance when I checked out. Our stay was two days over the weekend staff was friendly. Did not use any of the facilities as I was visiting family. Plenary of parking. The road into the facility needed to be resurfaced. I’d stay there again.

The staff were excellent! When we couldn't get into our room when we arrived due to an overdue linen truck, they offered us a free drink at the bar and breakfast vouchers for our stay. That made the wait almost a non-issue for us. Well done! The fitness center was well-stocked, well-lit, and very clean. The breakfast was tasty and convenient. The location was good. Even though we were in a corner room overlooking two busy streets, it was quiet and we slept well (the comfy beds helped in that regard). The only thing we didn't like was the teeny tiny room. And I mean TEENY! This is the smallest hotel room we've ever stayed in. I think my knee caught the corner of the bed five times during our stay. There was no closet, no place to put a second suitcase, and even the stand for one suitcase was in the walkway from the bed to the bathroom. There was a small, dorm-size fridge which we appreciated. We also appreciated the room-darkening drapes. Would I stay here again? Well, if I didn't have much luggage or other stuff that would take up any space in the room, yes, definitely. The staff made all the difference, the facility was clean, and the location was great.

A lovely space and great restaurant downstairs. But a fire alarm in the middle of the night really exposed some safety concerns with this business model (no front desk/onsite staff and high reliance on tech/AI/outsourced customer service). Separately there were so many little things missing/not working like lobby coffee machine or in room amenities that it seems the company is not paying attention to details that impact guests’ experience. A piercing alarm went off building-wide at 4am ….some people stayed in rooms thinking it must be a false alarm because other stuff in their room was broken so they just ignored it. The rest of us were on the street for a nearly an hour as the fire dept came and went saying they couldn’t do anything to stop it. No one from the company spoke to all the people outside about what was safe or what was happening. Some of us got AI or generic text messages, which was just insulting. There was an elderly couple on the fifth floor that took the elevator down during the alarm because they couldn't manage the stairs. What if this had been a real emergency? A fire with smoke/carbon dioxide etc? Who would have identified where people are and gotten them out of the building? There was no one on site to help. Eventually someone stopped the alarm, we got back in and went back to sleep and then the alarm went off again several times before 6am. Messages to the hotel “staff” got generic responses about the importance of fire safety.

This hotel is clean and comfortable with a "close enough" location to the universities and a shuttle so you can avoid bringing your car into the city if you choose. The gym and rooftop patio are lovely and the rooms are huge, with comfortable beds and ample space for getting in a few hours of work. However, it is LOUD. You know there's an issue when your room comes with complementary ear plugs. We will probably not stay here again only because the noise from the street was way too prominent for a good night's sleep.
