nice rooms, nice overall stay but didn't like the fact the doors were closed so early

It was a pleasant stay.

Wistful location and a beautiful room. Very large with a nice sitting area, decorated with a spa like touch. Very comfy bed, waffle towels and bathrobe. Local toiletries to make you feel connected to the area. Conveniently located across the street from one of the best restaurants in St John’s the Mallard Cottage. An authentic experience all around with a luxury touch!

The room was just OK. Cobwebs that have been in the corner for what appeared to be years. The room otherwise was clean but needed updating. Small hole in the wall in the bathroom appeared to be from a misplaced towel bar holder and retried, but hole not filled in and painted. Cracks in the sink. Nothing horrible...everything clean, just old and outdated. The morning breakfast was cellophane wrapped, unknown biscuits?? Hard pass...

This was our second stay at Leaside Manor. Comfortable beds, well-equipped rooms and friendly staff.

The governor was a great place to stay, I’d go there again. I wasn’t thrilled with service in the pub even though I tipped. Maybe regulars are the most important people in there and I can appreciate that. Might need to spend some money on those booth seats cause they’re pretty worn. Other than those things, the governor as a whole is a good place.

A warm, charming atmosphere in the house with history, thanks to the amazing hosts! Very clean and comfortable, suitable for families with young children. Fabulous breakfast and new local snacks in the shared living room every day, together with tea and coffee options. Unforgettable vacation for the whole family.
