Room was basically ok but no water pressure and the neighbourhood was sketchy to say the least. breakfast was disappointing (eggs, hotdog sausage and random potatoes).

Clean room, helpful staffs.

Room was hot, turned on a/c at night which then blew out electric. Worrisome. Wasn’t able to sleep. Left the next morning in the middle of a two night reservation in an area we would have liked to stay longer.

For the price, this hotel is very dated. The toilet ran in my room all night and disrupted sleep. A/C quite noisy, despite having it not set very low. Shower pressure was only acceptable if having a cold shower...just a dribble for hot water. TV has only basic cable (local channels).

My wife and I recently stayed at the Lord Nelson Hotel and Suites in Halifax for two days, and this must have been the friendliest hotel staff that I have ever encountered in my life. Period. Throughout our 48 hours, I found nothing but smiles and kindness from the staff. Period. Here is why this hotel deserves every bit of a 5-star rating: * Spotless & Luxurious: The hotel looks incredibly luxurious, was always tidy, and smells good the moment you walk in. * The Room: Our room was super clean, and housekeeping was absolutely on the spot. * Comforts: They have a decent coffee machine in the room, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Period. * Dining: The on-site restaurant is incredible! Facilities & Amenities The hotel, although it doesn't have amenities, has a YMCA free pass for the guest where you can find the best gym equipment, pool, and etc. Period. It is a fantastic workaround that gives you access to a top-tier fitness facility. World-Class Service Shout-Outs ⁠A very special shout out to the front desk operator, Gustavo, and the concierge, Parris and Folly, for being extremely kind and accommodating. Period. They truly went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. I would 100% recommend that any guest book this hotel due to its great structure, amazing location, and fantastic staff.
