"Very comfortable stay."
Staff were very pleasant and helpful. There was a coach party arriving so staff came and asked us to order our meal early so that we did not get caught up which was very thoughtful.

"Good location but noisy room"
Good sized room, which could be improved greatly by getting rid of the dark brown wall which made the place feel dingy. There was some kind of machinery buzzing away from 7am to past 10pm which was very annoying. Our room had a balcony which would be good in the summer - this overlooks a primary school playground, which would only really cause problems at times when children were likely to be out playing. Breakfast was included with our room. This was a buffet. The buffet was all luke warm, as was both the tea and coffee, however I asked a waitress for fresh drinks which she brought straight away.

"Boutique hotel with great food and lovely library"
It's our second time at the hotel and I appreciated the extra mile the staff took to change our room upon arrival as we didn't like the bathtub being a feature within the bedroom rather than in a separate bathroom. I was disappointed that the housekeeping didn't replenish the complimentary bottled water every day and towards our 3rd day of stay our tea bags were also not replenished. I like the charming library which we can use to meet up with friends over drinks. The breakfasts at the Bistro were also something to look forward to in the mornings.

"Very conveniently placed for access to my needs. "
The manager was very helpful. I had to leave a day early, having received a phone call to say that one of my sons had been taken into hospital in London. The manager refunded the money for the cancelled night, without hesitation. I was very relieved. Tea and coffee making facilities, and very quiet undisturbed nights.

"Overnight Stay"
Very nice hotel recently updated. Rooms were a good size and clean and tidy with tea and coffee facilities. Bathroom was clean and adequate facilities. Breakfast was not OTT but with sufficient choice and the hot food was hot and of good quality. Staff were helpful and polite. Would happily recommend. Close to a main junction but traffic was only a distant buzz so did not disturb our sleep quality.

"OK as a place to Sleep"
The Redwings is OK for a place to sleep, there are no other amenities other than a very small bar. It met all hygiene requirements, it was clean and functional and everything provided worked. However the curtains and walls between the rows were very thin. So I was at 4:30 in the morning and when the occupants in the room either got up to go to the bathroom in the night. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had lots of hot water. The staff were friendly, helpful with a smile. So overall it was what I would expect from an economy hotel as somewhere to crash at the end of a working day. But not somewhere I would take the family for a break

"great hotel in perfect location for Cambridge "
This is a very modern hotel the staff were lovely and the rooms were excellent and spacious. Loved the cafetière coffee in the room. The roof top bar is great with views across Cambridge. Breakfast had everything you would need and have to say there about the best croissants Ive had. Cambridge was a lovely place and I would defiantly stay at the varsity again, thanks for a great stay.

March is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in March, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your March hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
