A quickie in Mannheim

I needed an economical place for one night for a business trip that was safe, clean, easy walking distance conference center and train station. Only odd thing was that I was housed at Hotel Bismarck, a sister hotel, with no frorewarning despite my explicit email that I would arrive at midnight. I spent 7 hours there and did not partake breakfast due to meeting schedule.

tea and coffee in the room!

Room was clean and modern with a kettle and lovely tea. I was pleased with the bidet and shower. Breakfast was lovely for €10!

God beliggenhed i stille område

Det var tredje gang, vi overnattede på hotellet. Det ligger nær stationen og er et mindre hotel. Der er roligt om natten, og sengene er behagelige. God morgenmad. Receptionisten var ikke særlig imødekommende denne gang. Hverken et smil eller et velkommen. Bortset fra det er vi meget tilfredse med hotellet og kommer gerne igen.

En virkelig god oplevelse. Hotellet ligger tæt på banegården, men alligevel er der rimelig stille. Udmærket værelse. Meget venligt personale. Stort udvalg på morgenmadsbuffeten og en rigtig sød og smilende dame til at betjene os.

Die Unterkunft war sauber aber sehr herunter gekommen , muss dringend renoviert werden. Waren im Sommer und man konnte Nermin offenen Fenster schlafen , dann war es durch die Straße viel zu laut und an schleifen nicht zu denken…Klimaanlage wäre da sehr nötig. Frühstück sind Aufbackweckle vom Lidl und eingepacktes Brot vom Lidl, geht gar nicht für ein 3 Sterne Hotel. Hab mich eh gefragt wie die sein können. Jedenfalls nie wieder

My one night stay was good BUT

The biggest problem was that we couldn’t access the hotel at midnight. We needed to get the key and code to our room from another hotel and this wasn’t mentioned in the website. Email correspondence didn’t function at all!!
