This was a truly delightful place to stay. We got a personal tour from the owner. The breakfasts were delicious and abundant. We felt like we were staying at the home of a close friend. Our shower was super refreshing. Totally loved our stay.

If you’re looking for a historic experience this is it. Beautiful old time period building. Very small not even a place to keep your suitcase open. Don’t expect the beautify views that are advertised either. Very easy access to Nauvoo temple! And our door didn’t lock. What I didn’t know was that if you wanted breakfast, pool, or anything you have to drive down the road to another location that they own. They own like 4 hotel properties but amenities are only at one location.

Hot tub was why we chose to come here and use limited income to stay. We canceled a trip to maquoketa iowa…..came to this hotel… i called and asked about hot tub in advance and was assured it was functional. Got checked in and no hot tub was functional. Was not what was expected and i used hotel .com points. Soo pretty bumed ….. any way points could get refunded since hot tub was not available even after my inquiry to hotel prior stated it was? That would go a long way to making things ok. I felt everything else was fine. Thanks in advance for your attention to this matter. Have a nice day Robbie
