"Short stay in Lynton"
My girlfriend and I had a lovely stay in this Hotel. Its a real old school type hotel with lots of character and little quirks, which reflects Lynton itself really. As soon as we arrived the lady of the house Penny, invited us to have tea in the living room. We put our bags into the room and joined her downstairs. She served us some lovely Tea and Scottish Shortbread and Tunnocks Tea cakes on a lovely China set, all very retro. She was a lovely warm lady from North Scotland. That went down well as my girlfriend is Scottish and I lived there for 8 years too. We had a great chat, she gave us lots of advice then and as we needed it over the weekend. The room again was eccentric with a very short entry door but it was very comfortable with lots of character and a huge shower room. Room was spotless and very comfortable with all the mod-cons you would expect nowadays including wi-fi. The cooked breakfast we ate every morning was cooked very well using very high quality local produce. The scenery in the local area is very special. Highlights being the cliff/coastwalk from Lynton around the headland which takes you along a path on the cliffs. Very beautiful and we encountered wild goats which is pretty incredible. Overall we had a lovely stay at Waterloo. Loved the character of the place and the hosts had a lot of character too. I would very much recommend.

"Comfortable, clean and restful"
We were recommended this guest house by my sister-in-law, and used it for a short two night break when the weather forecast looked promising. Our room was bright and airy at the front of the house, with a bay window looking across Lynton and the valley. Everything was clean and well-kept, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfasts were freshly- prepared and tasty, with a good choice. Evening meals were also available, although we didn't take advantage of this. At the time we visited, there was no problem parking overnight on the road outside the guest house - there is also a small car park at the rear.

"A Lovely location"
When we arrived it was dark so we had no idea where we were, the lady in reception was very friendly and gave us a choice of two rooms, the rooms were clean and tidy, unfortunately the hotel only does breakfast but the lady pointed us in the right direction for food. It was a lovey quite night and when we got up and looked out the window....omg...what a view, we were right by the sea on the edge of a cliff. The breakfast was great, cooked to perfection. we then started to explore. The place is great, there are lots of brilliant walks with unbelievable views. Would dependently go back.

"Very friendly and accommodating hosts. "
Fabulous considering they have only been there about 12 weeks. I'm not sure it would have been good value at the full room rate bit with a little upgrading, quite possibly.

"Perfect"
We were sorry to leave Lee House, it's as close to perfect as you'll find. Our hosts were lovely people who made us feel very welcome, our breakfasts were freshly cooked and delicious, the room was nicely furnished, immaculately clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location is close to shops, pubs and restaurants, with scenic walks ten minutes up the road. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Lynton is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Lynton, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Lynton hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
