Lower Alabama Vacation Packages

I was a little disappointed in my stay. I see this nice quiet looking resort online. Appears as though all rooms will have a view of some sort. Instead I ended up with a barely clean room with no balcony or patio access. My room window was positioned on a hallway type of walkway outside and showed my whole room all the way to the bathroom when opened. Super awkward and unusable in high traffic area. The worst part was I had maintenance workers and maids outside by surrounding rooms every day at the start of 7 am literally banging buckets on the stairwell outside of my door, slamming doors, yelling as loud as possible. The guests carried on the same trend in the middle of the night, but the hotel can’t do much about that. You hear all the noise from the parking area if your room is anywhere near the end of the building. All noise very clearly. Parking and the walk back was a hassle at times. Honestly, not worth the price I paid but the convenience factors were a positive note — beach access, beach bar on site, pool.

Overall, everything was very nice, and we enjoyed our stay. However, I do feel the arrival instructions could have been much more detailed. Clearer directions on how to locate the correct building, where to enter, and what to do once we arrived would have made the check-in process much smoother. My biggest concern was the kitchen sink not draining properly. Considering the amount we paid for our stay, this was definitely disappointing and inconvenient. I contacted maintenance and submitted a service request, but unfortunately, no one came to resolve the issue during our stay. I feel that when guests are paying a premium price, maintenance concerns like this should be addressed in a timely manner. Aside from those issues, we had a nice stay. With clearer arrival instructions and more prompt attention to maintenance requests, the overall experience would have been much better.

We had a good stay overall. The property is on the bay side, so there is no direct beach access, but the free shuttle to the beach across the road was convenient. Driving to the beach is also an option. One thing to note is that a golf cart is not included with the package, so plan accordingly. The property itself is a bit dated, including some of the appliances, but it is very well maintained and comfortable for a short family trip. We enjoyed the pool and the proximity to the beaches and nearby attractions. Overall, it was a pleasant and practical stay for the price.

Perfect location great staff and tons around to shop and dine

The check in went smoothly. Staff was attentive and courteous. The pool at Westwinds was large and spacious. The beach was clean white sands. The building has four elevators, so never a long wait time. The shuttles ran regularly and provided access to the entire resort property.
