First thing, if you are expecting a high class Hotel this has not it. You are paying for a historical experience and what the conditions were a little bit alike then. So you don't have room service everyday, cleaning service. People appear to be shorter then, so those of you who are tall the shower head will hit your belly at the best. However to stay in something historical, majestic, regal, and just playing a piece of History was really cool.

Staying on the Queen Mary was a lifelong dream of mine, ever since my grandparents took me to the Royal Brunch when I was 9. It did not disappoint. It's a beautifully restored historical venue, with the added bonus that it's also a hotel. It's like being allowed to sleep in a museum. Not only that, but the location is fabulous, with a view of the Long Beach skyline and fantastic sea breezes. The art deco bar is gorgeous and the happy hour prices are quite reasonable. We ate at the Promenade Cafe and were quite pleased with our food, especially brunch (just the regular one). There are shops and cool things to see and you don't actually need to do a tour if you are staying there. You basically have access to the whole ship. The staff was kind and accommodating. It was also great to have the family friendly room with a separate bedroom for the kids. Because it's historical, you should expect unique and funky things like no air conditioning and old fashioned plumbing, but that's part of the charm. With the port hole open there was plenty of fresh air and the shower was just fine. I highly recommend staying here if you have any interest in history, ships or art deco design. Fantasic experience!

The ship is very interesting however it’s sad because it’s in need of a deep cleaning and refurbishing. Was very costly with all the extra fees. Expected to pay $211 a night which was bad enough. Ended up paying over $800 for 2 nights. The deluxe room was nice enough but no extras like coffee or refrigerator. Toilet broke on second day. Very inconvenient. The meals were expensive but good. The staff is nice and helpful.

This was a second trip and it was 90% better than the first time. Staff was great. No issues with the room (first time in 2024 we had no hot or even warm water and the TV was broken). This time we had a hot water and the TV did for a bit, after having to call to guest services who engaged a technician. Food was far better, although the server did not communicate the price of the breakfast buffet and the price did not align with the options or taste.

They were setting up for a large weekend event and the construction teams worked late and were quite loud even after they shut down the heavy equipment. Yelling, talking loud, chatting in an area were sound travels was no fun and unnecessary.

We had a great time at this place. However, the hotel room was not updated. The walls are thin and you can literally hear everything that is happening next door. There is no privacy. The food was acceptable, but definitely overpriced. The bathroom was not the standard bathroom either. Everything was beaten up and worn out. The staff were friendly and helpful. Taking a tour on the ship was fascinating. I would recommend visiting the ship without booking a room. The tour is well with it, not the room.
