I had an absolutely amazing stay at this hotel! It’s located right on the peaceful and stunning Mother's Beach in Marina del Rey — truly a hidden gem. There’s even a private door that leads you directly onto the sand, which makes the experience feel incredibly special and relaxing. One of the highlights for me was the outdoor area of my room, which had a beautiful sea view. It was top-notch — not only perfect for enjoying the scenery, but also ideal for working remotely. I spent the whole week working from that outdoor space and found it to be incredibly comfortable and quiet. I highly recommend this place for digital nomads looking for a serene yet inspiring environment. While the hotel itself offers calm and tranquility, it's just a short 13-minute walk to the vibrant Venice Beach. There you’ll find an energetic atmosphere, fun activities, and plenty of great restaurants to explore. The hotel staff were outstanding — from the receptionists to the housekeeping team, everyone was warm, professional, and always ready to help when needed. Their service really added to the quality of the stay. All in all, this is a perfect place to enjoy the best of both worlds: peaceful beachfront living and access to Venice’s lively scene. I can’t wait to come back!

Staff was friendly, breakfast is a quick granola bar and nothing much. Coffee was good. The location is safe, and there were some nice bars to see around; however, they close early. View is towards the Harbor. No cable TV, just air stations. I did not feel as comfortable as advertised for the price, and the location is farther away from the beach than I thought. Just a nice harbor stay.

Perfect No-Frills But Scenic Hotel

The cutest hotel honestly. They have their own little beach on the marina. The “breakfast” is nothing to write home about (instant oatmeal, granola bars, apple sauce, pain au chocolat, cups of fruit, if I remember correctly) but it’s super handy for on-the-go. AND—they have coffee in the lobby whenever you want. So is it a super ritzy hotel? No, but I REALLY enjoyed my stay. Rooms were clean and not old or outdated. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Honestly it was such a nice, easy stay that I almost want to leave a bad review to keep this place to myself as a little secret. I am looking forward to staying here again just to relax and enjoy the marina. Thank you, Foghorn Harbor Inn!

Quaint little place we had a nice view. We arrived early and our room was ready so the wonderful staff let us check in early .the room was nice very relaxing. Yes I would definitely recommend this hotel

Clean rooms, spacious patio, fridge and microwave were all positives for us. We had no cold water in the sink, but the shower was fine. I had called the day before I checked in and they had informed me of some plumbing issues they were having. It wasn't enough to upset our stay - just meant we had to wash our hands super fast before they got burned, lol! The staff was wonderful, very friendly and informative. They even offered to give us our grab-and-go-breakfast early because we had a race starting before the 7:00am breakfast availability.
