The area was generally very dirty. The entrance to the hotel was being used as a shop for Chinese girls to get dressed up and having makeup. Hence it was as you were entering a small fitting room. The staff could hardly understand a word of english, while we had to ask for very standard supplys such as toilet roles to be provided to the room.

Our stay here was ok. Everything was clean but it was a stay without character or friendliness. The staff were extremely formal and the whole experience (stay and food) was very expensive compared to the other places we stayed during our trip, despite being in a smaller town. We prefer a more authentic experience. It is close to the centre, however, so all the interesting temples and shops were within walking distance

We found the hotel to have a lovely traditional atmosphere, the rooms were large, with many traditional features, we had Chinese breakfast that was interesting. Misha welcomed us and was extremely helpful, we had free tea, we were picked up and dropped off at the station, we loved her! And she spoke very good English! Lovely experience, we were very happy and impressed with it
