The photos of the listing do not depict reality and our stay was most definitely a case of ‘you get what you pay for’. The shared kitchen was messy and dirty and the reception area was filthy. The room itself was reasonably clean however there were two black hairs in the bath. Two of the three light bulbs in the bathroom needed replacing. The decor throughout the hotel was dated.

I got what I wanted was something low cost, but didn’t realize the true price was a good night sleep. The people who ran it seemed nice, but the hotel was run down or ‘tired’. Need a good influx of money to bring it up to reasonable state, money they probably don’t have.

There were numerous bedbugs in the room. They were crawling out of the headboard, and they were all over the bed. We had to leave the hotel in the middle of the night and sleep in our car. There was nobody at the front desk overnight, or in the morning. We left a message using the front desk phone, and we also left a note, but we were never called back. Stay at your own risk.

A clean, safe room - and just out of the back exit you can hop on a flight of stairs that take you in the direction towards the Red Rock Trail. Walkable to restaurants / amenities on the Main Street. Great for a short stay!

Road trip

Older hotel which I don’t mind. Reception was fast and helpful. The common room had toaster ice utensils and other stuff, very nice. Room was small, I found the bed comfortable, coffee maker, microwave and fridge, just great. I wouldn’t say more than one night, unless I had business in the area. This not a 5 star, it suited me.

Convenient stopping point to break up a longer drive, in the middle of some fantastic mountain scenery. Not too much in Lillooet, but there were a few options for food. Comfortable stay.

Comfortable and clean

On a motorcycle trip with my friend, the checkin staff was friendly and helpful. We found the rooms to be good value and clean/comfortable for our money. I would stay there again when on another trip.

Proprietor was amicable and helpful, room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately the shower head malfunctioned and was a stream, rather than a shower; otherwise it was good value for the money.

The man at the front desk was 5 star! He greeted us with a refund due to an unexpected booking change on the hotel's end, then helped with carrying bags to the room as it was stairs only and one of us has mobility issues. The room we were then given had bedbugs (the first thing we do when seeing a room is inspect around the bed especially for bedbugs) and the man immediately moved us to another room without issue after seeing them himself. His attitude was stellar. The carpets are old and pretty shocking, need to be replaced, but we have never stayed in a quieter place. We couldn't hear a thing. The room was on the rear wall of the building so no road outside. Location is excellent, the building is just old, toilet perpetually ran but couldn't hear it with the bathroom door closed. Fitted sheet was too small for the mattress, pockets not deep enough, so if you toss and turn a bit you'll end up pulling the sheet off and touching the bare mattress sides along with others who have slept on it. The bedding is like something my parents had in the 90's, one of those funny thin foamy brown blankets and a simple white sheet, one pillow each. The air conditioner was amazing, one of the best I've had in a hotel room, so the room was a great temperature and we weren't cold or too hot.
