The rooms were a nice size and bed/pillows were relatively decent. The room had a Nespresso coffeemaker and pods which was nice to have but ours didn't seem to work unfortunately. The breakfast overall we didn't find was worthwhile but they have a large restaurant/bar with lots of seating options which others seemed to enjoy. Parking available but high demand. Honestly having a view of the parking lot provided a lot of entertainment overall given the poor parking jobs and maneuvering required to get in and out. Not much seemed walkable from this location but super close to a bus stop for a short transit ride into town if you don't want to drive .

The laundry room was dirty. There were no instructions for using the stove, oven, water heater. No coffee maker and the kettle was corroded. The downstairs bathroom smelled awful. The beds were very uncomfortable. We tried to get an Uber but they refused to come to this address. The advertising of this house gave false expectations. The owners left a message that they needed to send an electrician to fix the dining area light. No one ever came so we had no light.

Poor welcome at reception …first room had a bad damp/dog smell…so moved second day. Unable to order dinner at 8.48pm despite being told kitchen open til 9pm..we only arrived at 8.20pm ..& waited quite a while to be booked in as no one manning reception. Rang the bell 3 times & went to bar area twice to ask for a staff member to book us in. Lift had a dog smell on second day. Good breakfast & friendly night staff manning the bar.

We really enjoyed our stay at Woodquay Townhouse in Galway. It was very clean, updated and cozy. The staffless checkin went very smoothly. We were given clear concise directions prior to arrival on how to get into the property and then once inside we were able to follow the touchscreen directions on how to get our key. It was an extremely easy process. The hotel was located in a great spot and a public parking lot ($10 per day) was very close. My only concern with this hotel is that once we arrived in Galway we had two questions for the staff. I sent them two messages and no one ever replied or got back to us with help. Other then that it was a great place to stay.
