"Big Room, Great Location!"
We called the day before to confirm we'd be arriving Friday night around 6:00pm. He said that was fine, and he just wanted to be prepared if we were arriving earlier in the day or late at night. When we arrived, we had a little bit of a hard time finding it and where to park. There's a small lot in the back, which can be kinda tricky to maneuver if you have a big car. You walk in the back of the building, up stairs, down the hall, down the stairs, and out the front of the building, turn left to get to the office. The place has some strange rules like no cooking strong-smelling food (like bacon!) on Sunday morning. That way the place isn't stinking like your last meal when the next guest checks in. Makes sense, I guess, but still strange. The room is BIG! Plenty of places to sleep. Flat screen tv with VCR and DVD player. The gas fireplace worked, but it was really light/dim... you couldn't get a "raging fire" going, which I guess is safer. The kitchen has everything you need, including coffee pot, toaster, can opener, etc. There was even some coffee, creamer, tea and cocoa for us to use. The dishes are all mismatched, and not super fancy... but they get the job done. The bed was a little stiff for my preference. There are plenty of extra blankets and pillows in the closet. There is a shower/tub with a shampoo/conditioner/shower gel dispenser (in case you forget your own stuff). I think Room 1 is the best. We will definitely stay here again!
