I mostly enjoyed my stay at Black Pearl suites. It is centrally located in the old town area close to the Bohemian Quarter. Lots of cafés, restaurants, and bars within walking distance. Some complaints – the elevator is tiny and only accommodates one person. If you have lots of luggage, be prepared to walk up the stairs to the fifth floor. The bed in my room was hard as a rock and for some reason only one foot off the ground. The front desk is not staffed 24 seven. The staff leave at the end of the day. So if you need anything you must wait till the following day. Generally, it was a good experience.

Location, parking and communication was great. Just one thing for the price and a nice location the room should be cleaner.

Great location- not in the tourist area so it's quiet. Big hotel with expected amenities. Very comfortable bed. Lots of choices on breakfast buffet. Staff all top notch. Highly recommend

Of all the hotels on my trip, Mama Shelter was the one i was most excited about, but the biggest disappointment. Once you get past the cool design of the lobby and restaurant spaces, the no-frills guest rooms are very substandard. It’s as if the design is intended to look great on social media, but little else. On closer inspection the rooms look and feel cheap. Plastic laminate surfaces, basic fittings, scratchy sheets and towels, cheap polyfill pillows, no kettle or coffee maker, no umbrellas, a curtain for a closet. I booked a Large Mama Terrace and found the room very small and uncomfortable. As far as housekeeping, the rooms were clean, but the maintenance made the room look dirty. The black walls were chipped and smudged and the pale pink walls were badly scuffed and lap marks from painting were visible. The silicone and grout in the shower corners were very moldy. Most of the balcony rooms are on lower floors so views are of the buildings directly across and face away from the city. I made two calls to the front desk to be told they were very busy and would call back but calls were never returned. The hotel also sits atop a small mall and shares the elevators so getting to your room can take forever. All the cheap decor aside, a hotel at its price point should at least have comfortable bedding and towels. Mama Shelter does not.

A superb hotel and the staff are tremendous. I highly recommend.
