I have one major complaint. I asked at the front desk if I should reserve a cab to get the the train station the next morning. The front desk agent said I should and offered to do it for me. But, what she booked was a private car service and not a cab. It was 25 euros for an 8 minute ride. I wanted a cab - not a chauffered limo. I think I should have been made aware of what was being booked. I never would have agreed to that cost

Upon getting to our room on the third floor, we found it extremely hot. We contacted the front desk and learned air-conditioning on property was turned off for the season on October 1st. The staff was exceptional and put us in a room on the 1st floor which was much cooler. The hotel staff was exceptional and the hotel was clean, in a great location. The issue with the air conditioning seemed to be with Expedia's knowledge of the property, and not the hotel.

The location is outstanding! The hotel is in the epicenter of the old city. We would give the hotel our highest ratings if they had not transitioned from summer cooling to winter heating early in September. Our room was uncomfortably warm and there was nothing we could do about it since the hotel had already transitioned from summer cooling to winter heating before the end of September. Our nights were uncomfortably warm and there was nothing which could be done about it!

Beautiful property near harbor, no a/c or fridge.

Beautiful property and right close to the harbor and towers! Gorgeous lobby and room. Our room didn't have air conditioning or a refrigerator which we expect from hotels. Reguested ice bucket but never received one. Parking near by but a little walk to the hotel. Other than that, very nice looking hotel.

Perfect location for a stylish stay

Very stylish well located hotel. We enjoyed the calm and relaxed atmosphere. Our room was small but weak appointed. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect, right near the port and marina with its bars and restaurants.

Beautiful hotel near the port

We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning next year. The hotel is beautifully decorated and smells amazing! Located near the port and many restaurants, the location couldn’t be better. Our family room for four was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were welcoming and helpful, I highly recommend this hotel. The only negative to point out is that the breakfast was rather underwhelming and ran out very quickly, despite having another hour to go. Next time we will pop out for breakfast as there is plenty of choice just steps away.

The hotel is centrally placed but in a pedestrianised area, so you arrive with your suitcases in tow down cobbled street. The hotel is situated where most of the restaurants and bars are only a few yards away. Plenty of places for a cheaper breakfast nearby. We really enjoyed our stay in this location.

Perfect location in the old port of LaRochelle. We hired an Uber driver from the train station. The area is pedestrian only, for the most part. This hotel is literally surrounded by restaurants and gelato shops. There is a market right across the walk way, and the view of the towers is spectacular. All the sights are an easy, pleasant walk. We walked to the Ferris wheel. Our room was comfortable. The ceiling above the bed is beautiful. It looks like fabric. We were on the fourth floor. We used the stairs except for when we were bring our luggage up. Air conditioning worked well. The included breakfast was plentiful. Great variety of breads, meats, hard boiled eggs and cheeses with several fresh fruit options. We ordered fried eggs and they were cooked perfectly. The breakfast lady spoke English well and was friendly and cheerful. The front desk people were pleasant and helpful. It was a bit more challenging to understand them, but we did, and everything was fine. They ordered a taxi for us to Ile De Re. The walk to meet the taxi was about two blocks. We travel lightly. Only carry on wheelie bags and a backpack. Dealing with the pedestrian only aspect was not a problem for us. If we had big luggage it would have been challenging. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
