Just a short walk from Kyoto Station, Kyoto Aquarium and Nidec Kyoto Tower. Lots of shopping and dining options at Kyoto Station and the area nearby with 7-11 just down the street as well. We selected this hotel mainly for convenience, but convenience aside, it is due for renovations. Room was fairly clean, but starting to show its age compared to some other APA Hotels we stayed at during our time in Japan. It could have been because this APA Hotel was located in Kyoto, but both the interior and exterior was on the older side. On the bright side no central AC, so you can set your own temperature to your liking with the individual AC unit inside the room. If you want absolute quiet or a light sleeper, keep in mind you can hear the trains passing lightly in the distance if you stay at this hotel.

Simply perfect

Fantastic hotel, near the Kyoto train station. Well connected to the town center. Near the Kyoto Tower and some amazing temples and shrines. I totally recommend it.

Great location for a place to stay in Kyoto. We loved how close to the train station it was for day trips in the area. The breakfast buffet was great with a good variety of both Japanese and western options for a reasonable price. The room was small (which we expected for Japan) but had all of the necessities needed for our stay. The only complaint was the shower was extremely cramped for my husband who is 5’10”. He could not stand in it and had to crouch down in order to shower. Overall we would go back again and were satisfied with our stay.

The overall conditions is good but only one thing that left out was that, on the day the maid suppose to clean our room (after 3 nights stay) she didn't clean it probably, bed is not making, glass not clean etc.

Extremely close to the station and convenience store which was very convenient. Area is nice and quiet. We had to figure out on our own that we have to put dirty towels out each morning and the bathroom feels a little small at first, but we adjusted quickly and had no other problems during our stay.

Excellent location, very close to train station in nice area; lots of shopping and dining options. Hotel in very good conditions, rooms very small though; bathroom was very clean, shower very good; everything in bathroom was very good just too small; it would be very uncomfortable for larger size people.

Hotel is close to the station so it's very convenient. But the rooms and bathrooms are outdated and the beds and pillows were uncomfortable. This room was the smallest and most cramped out of all the places we stayed during this trip. Housekeeping was also in full swing when we left our room at 9am each day which is rather early for someone on vacation - would they have busted into our rooms while we slept in? I would recommend this hotel only if you are looking for a hotel close to the station and with a low budget. Otherwise, I'd recommend spending a little bit more for a more updated and comfortable option. We looked forward to checking out of this location. Front desk reception staff were polite and helpful, though it seemed that some of the night crew were less experienced in terms of knowledge and English language compared to their day shift staff (we got different answers from different staff about luggage delivery services). If you ask the front desk to hold your luggage prior to check in or for a while after check out, make sure you screenshot the QR code to pick up your luggage after. I'm not sure how I would have been able to pull up that QR code again if I didn't have a screenshot of it...

This is a standard APA hotel with small rooms that have anything you would need for a short stay. Location is very convenient just steps away from Kyoto Station with lots of shopping, dining and entertainment options. The staff was very helpful and polite and the breakfast option was definitely worth it.
