"nice hotel on the beach "

"A good motel close to beach and restaurant."
We booked on short notice and did not know what to expect. Motel was easy to find and check in was excellent. We had our grand children and needed a rollaway to accommodate which was offered without cost. Another room was offered with more room which we accepted. The kids had a great time at the beach and side trips to other activities and events as well as shopping. Room did not have a phone but that was not a problem as we had cell phones.

"Private Beach Access"
The hotel is right next to the beach with its own private access. It also has deck with picnic tables facing the beach. There is a pinic area with grills. However, the grill are a bit rusty, you need to really scrub it before use. The rooms with tiles are better than those carpets. The carpetted one had odor due to constantly expoed to sea water and not completely dried. Try to get rooms not on the first floor, there would be more sands from the beach. The breakfast is not very good. There are one waffle maker and one pancake maker. Thet both use the same cheap batter. There are bagels, toast, cereals, and some fruits like bananas and apples. The rooms are spacious with a small refrigirator and microwave. There is a small eating area in each room. The ocean facing rooms have balcanies. There is a feet wasing area for hotel guests after there beach trip before going to the rooms. We had a pleasent stay other thsan the not so good breakfast.

"Nice Stay at the OBX!"
This was our second stay at this vacation rental home. Still clean and well kept; carpet flooring in the living area has been switched out to a flooring that looks like wood, but guessing it is vinyl. The only negative my husband and I have is the mattress in the master is very hard compared to ours at home and not to our liking. The other thing you need to know is this community is not fully built up so construction is ongoing. Six homes built since last May and 2-3 currently under construction. The workers do keep "beach time" whether intentional or just the slow pace of beach life, so it's not usually noisy first thing in the morning, but they do work on Sundays as we've been told the developers in FL are pushing to "get it done". BTW...as this is a rental home, there is no on sight staff. Kees Vacations is the manager for the property and has a list of dos/don'ts posted on the fridge with a local contact number if you need help.

"On vacation for 3 day at OBX"
The hotel is next to beach easy walk right in to it. The hotel is older and has been through a lot of storms. It has regular rooms and Suites. With the high humidity of this area the room has a musky smell even though every thing look not to old but can only imagine it is hard keeping a place aired out when the humidity never dropped below 60% for our stay. For the price we paid on Expedia it was more then worth it. The breakfast was good, standard buffet limited style for a hotel/motel. Same you get in many comparable Hotels chains to the Days Inn.

Kitty Hawk is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Kitty Hawk, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Kitty Hawk hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
