Pictures are better than in person for sure. The communication was good what really messed everything for us was the hot tub. They couldn't figure out how to get the hot tub working which is why I booked the honeymoon suite. The room is small in comparison to the pictures. I didn't get to use the hot tub not once. At one point I was so frustrated that I kicked them out my room. Then when we were leaving they asked how the hot tub was and I said it was cold the looked at me like I was lying. The scenery is beautiful the pool was cold and the roof top terrace was nice. But if you want to use the hot tub this isnt the place. Also just so you know this place is not in athens. Its about 1 1/2 hours away and you need to catch a ferry.

The style is great. The service is excellent. The location is super convenient, really close to the water and restaurants. And, the food is really good. If you’re looking for a small well managed hotel I would strongly recommend

We stayed in the panoramic sea view room - so worth it, the view was amazing and had a nice balcony where you could enjoy the views. The room was clean and bed was very comfy. Great location next to all the restaurants on the waterfront. Nice pool, decent breakfast, and the staff are all super friendly and helpful. We did have an issue with our air con but the staff were very helpful and moved us to another room straight away. Some of the hotel building could do with some work but it seems the rooms have just been renovated. Would stay again!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Alva hotel. It was very easy to find from the train station and within walking distance to many sights. I had the unfortunate experience of being pickpocketed in Athens and my phone was stolen on Thurs Aug 30th. The man working the front desk that night (I wish I remembered his name for sure but I think it was Nikoloas) was amazing! He helped us contact the police and stayed with us hours beyond the end of his shift and followed up with us the next day. The theft was a very upsetting experience but it's because of this man we felt like we had a friend in Athens.

Nice room with balcony but the sewage odor got stronger by the evening. Also, there was a lot of noise outside our room throughout the night. Just happy we only had to stay one night!

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. It is quite literally the ideal location to get to Kalamaki Beach, which is the nicest beach in the area. The room was well suited to make us feel welcome and comfortable during our stay. And they had good options for breakfast. We also have to say that this hotel has a great staff supporting it. We appreciated that everyone working at reception was extremely kind and very attentive to all guests. Great value. Ideal location. Helpful staff.

i am so disappointed with this hotel. We got to our hotel and the room lights were not working. 4 of the 5 lights in our room were busted. We raised this concern & later told us that there was a problem with the electrical. They initially gave us one standing lamp but it was still too dark. The reception said that the hotel is fully booked & unable to move us to another room. How can they rent out rooms knowing that here is a problem with the room? Additionally, the air condition was not cool enough. The room read 25 degree. We couldnt sleep in the room as it was burning hot at night. I raised this problem too and they said they cannot do anything with the air conditioning. They said maybe the thermostat is incorrect. Overall this is my rating. Location: excellent. Right in the middle of all the restaurants and shoppings. Room: Terrible (no aircon, no light), extremely small. bathroom exhaust not working. food: breakfast choices (4 kinds of eggs only - fried, hard boil, scrambled and quiche) plus bread. Order once only. Refill coffee is extra charge. Amenities: Didnot get to enjoy as the spa was always close. Staff: The front desk also works as the room service person. (only one staff everytime) I met another customer in the elevator who said that her room has broken exhaust fan. Overall, the hotel should be rated a 2 star boutique hotel. The rent out broken rooms to other customers and later apologizes for the inconveniences.
