"A nice boutique hotel "
Stayed at Hebasca overnight recently whilst visiting Bude. I would say it was a little overpriced for where it's located but then it is July? Upon our arrival we were greeeted by some really nice welcoming staff who couldn't be more helpful and attentive. Our room we were given faced on to the car park. I was hoping to have better views but we only stayed for 1 night so I wasn't too bothered, but I would have asked for a different room if it had been for a longer period. The room was very botique style with a very comfortable feature bed that had lovely cool cotton bedding. There was a great walk in shower room with an overhead rain shower and beautiful soft cotton towels. The room had tea and coffee making facilities with plenty of different teas and coffee to suit all tastes. There was food available in the restaurant for that evening but the menu seemed a little limited. We ate that evening in Tommy Jacks Beach Hotel which is also part of the same chain but located closer to the beach. The menu there was more extensive and the food quality was excellent. The atmosphere was much more vibrant but its because your closer to the beach, and you have a lot of the locals eating and drinking there. Overall Hebasca is a beautiful place to stay, tucked away off the beaten track, so it's not too noisy. The hotel has great attentive staff and is a great place to stay if you just want to chill. Would I stay again? Yes, if I could get the room rates down a bit.

"A comfy home from home."
A well located hotel for Bude, Hartland, Westward Ho and Bideford. Rooms are in character with the old world style of the Inn and are very comfortable. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Plenty of space at the Inn to relax both inside and out, and a friendly and cosy bar for an evening drink.

"A warm welcome at beautiful Lew Barn "
A really enjoyable stay. We were offered a drink on arrival by the friendly staff. The grounds are beautiful, my room was bright & comfortable. We had asked for a twin bedded room but were asked if we'd accept one double & one adjoining single room. We hadn't realised the adjoining room would be quite so minute, though, so my friend was rather cramped. I would definitely go there again, although finding Lew Barn is difficult as it involves driving down a lot of small, winding, back lanes. You would need Google or a Sat Nav to find your destination.

"Beautiful setting on cliff's edge."
Renovated hotel (once a residence) with an old world ambiance in lounge and dining areas that was very pleasing. Rooms were updated & en suite. Beds (on rollers) were cheaper quality with a laminate headboard. Large wardrobe took up most of the available space so getting down to the lounge was the best thing to do. Overall a nice stay because of the location and lounge.

"Central location, small country town, budget"
Staff friendly and welcoming. Room small but adequate with a comfortable single bed, with shower and sink, loo a few feet down the corridor. Very clean and warm. Typical pub bar food - should have gone by experience and had the usual chicken and chips stuff, not the curry, which didn't agree with me too well! But the beer was good and the breakfast was everything an all English should be, well cooked and ample. The only drawback was noise from the other pub opposite - why do people have to come out at all hours and shout to each other in a deserted night time street? It's deserted because everyone else is in bed trying to sleep. The last lot came out at 2.50 pm. The owners are hoping to fit double glazing on soon - triple would do better! However, none of that is the fault of the King's Arms, who are aware of the problem are trying to resolve it. Overall, if you have to stay in the town, it's a good overnighter.

The George Inn

"Nice position in centre of small market town."
We booked to stay at The George because of the Hatherleigh Carnival. The experience was mixed. The carnival was brilliant and full of atmosphere. The George was clean and in a good position. We expected there to be noise from the Carnival atmosphere during the night. But there was a noise from the hotel that kept going on - a water system/heating or similar and it happened several times during the night. The bed was awful a very thin mattress that stood about 8" in all off the ground. Hence a bad back the next day... While having our breakfast the hoover was in full operation beside us and another employee was busy cleaning off tables. We were pleased to leave as it was not relaxing. We felt we were in the way. If you take booking appointments for bed and breakfast you have to accommodate your client. People have weekend breaks to relax and the ambience at breakfast time is important. Perhaps they should move the dining area away from the bar if they want to retain guests or process their workload after the guests have had their breakfast which after all they have paid for.

"Friendly staff, good location, good food!"
Really excellent experience. Staff are really welcoming, efficient and laid back - nothing too much trouble. Food is excellent - both the breakfast and the dinner available (make sure you book!). Recommend the family room (if you're with kids) as the set up gives you separate space. If we find ourselves back in Bude then we'll definitely stay again

Kilkhampton is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Kilkhampton, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Kilkhampton hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
