Room was clean, but definitely not as pictured on Expedia. Sheets had large stains and room was dark no matter if all the lights were on. The swing bar lock on the inside door was loose, like door had been forced open in past, not reassuring. Bathroom toilet had week flush. A/C and refrigerator worked well,so that was a plus. Rooms need updating and whole place needs a better maintenance man. Booked this place for the outdoor pool and it was green and disgusting. I was told by a staff member that the pool had been opened months prior, but there was a break in the fence and NY state would not let them open the pool until a certified welder could fix it. Staff member said no certified welders could be hired in the area due to a factory fire that all welders were called too. There was no notification until I asked about it, then a sign was put up at the front desk. I also was disappointed in the daily not so healthy breakfast options. It was dry cereal or microwavable oatmeal, nutrigrain bars, yogurt, an apple or mandarin, and a small coffee/tea/juice bar. I definitely got duped by the pictures. This place felt and looks like converted low income housing from the outside and I did question our safety in the evenings. If my husband had not been traveling with me, I would have checked out immediately and lost the money spent to find a safer place to stay. Staff was friendly and helpful, and so were any guests we saw. Place just needs some monetary investment to be better.

We stayed here for one night while visiting Corning. The location is excellent and within easy walking distance of downtown shops and restaurants. Our room was spacious and clean, and the innkeeper was friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The accommodations weren’t as historic or charming as we’d hoped. The property could benefit from a bit of a refresh. That said, it was comfortable, served its purpose for a one-night stay, and offered good value thanks to its convenient location and free parking.

Clean room, needs some upgrades, air conditioning wonderful, parking easy.

Wonderful stay with plentiful breakfast, amazing views and close to so many attractions, wineries, and restaurants.
