Property was right on the campus of the University of Maine. Wonderful old buildings with modern renovations. Clean and bright.

​The Days Inn delivers on location and friendly service, but persistent noise and structural flaws make it a fallback choice. ​The Pros ​* Friendly Staff: Welcoming service helps soften the property's rough edges. * ​Location: Reasonably close to downtown Bar Harbor: best accessed by car, though walkable or bikeable. ​* Recent Updates: Rooms feature a modernized, clean shower. ​ The Cons * ​Road Noise: All rooms face the busy street, making traffic a constant issue for light sleepers. Bring earplugs. ​* Poor Sealing: Inexpensive or poorly installed windows and a drafty entry door let in light and sound around the frame. ​ The Verdict ​The staff and proximity to town are highlights, but poor soundproofing and drafty doors hurt the comfort. I would stay here again only if there were no better options.

Nice clean place, but one of the rooms was not how it was pictured. Instead of a queen, it had bunk beds. Water pressure was great upstairs but low downstairs in the bathroom. Also, ice maker didn't work. Great location

I do not recommend this hotel at all. I booked a room with two queen beds. It wasn’t until I received the key cards and entered the room that I discovered it was under construction. The receptionist was clearly unaware of the situation as well. Unfortunately, there were no other rooms of the same type available. The only alternative offered was a downgrade to a smaller room, with no compensation or other effort to make up for the inconvenience. To make matters worse, the entire hotel experienced a power outage early the next morning that lasted for hours, until we checked out. No staff member was able to explain what had happened or provide any updates. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing due to the lack of communication, poor management, and inadequate customer service. Unless you have no other option, I would strongly recommend staying somewhere else.

The room was small but met our needs. It was clean and updated on the interior. Exterior and the walkways throughout the property were less updated. The pool was warm and clean. The kitchen only had a cooktop, no oven, which was a surprise, but there were grills available outside so we made it work. Would definitely stay again.
