Surprise! It's right across from the hospital, and more specifically: the ambulance bay! Yay! Fortunately we live in a neighborhood with a lot of seniors so we're used to sirens in the middle of the night.
Super friendly staff and the rooms were big and clean, albeit very dated. AC worked very well (which is always the most important feature) however there was no bathroom fan, just a window to open (see: ambulance sirens above).
The indoor pool is small and a bit rundown. Despite the clear presence of chlorine in the water our sense of self preservation prevented us from going in. Downtown is probably walkable and there was nice restaurants and things to do in the park by the river(s).
It's an old hotel in a bad location, so you'll get what you pay for. But for what it is, it's actually pretty decent.
