The ‘loop

It seemed clean and the beds were comfortable. I thought our room was a good size for the price. The property had some definite mostly finished DIY repair vibes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There’s quite a nice outdoor area.

If you have to

The room had so many different bugs inside it assuming from it being cleaned with the door open. The laundry is $4 per load which is already pricey. Then they proceed to tell you to go get change from the gas station blocks away.

Nice place by the river

Easy to find, to park, friendly and welcoming staff. The room was generally clean, and everything worked fine. The view over the river was a nice bonus. It is easy to turn the air cond on and off, but when on, it is centrally controlled, so it can get cold, I turned it off.

The TV was not plugged in, then once plugged in it was not working. After a couple of calls to the front desk, the attentive clerk rectified the situation by replacing the TV. There was no shampoo, but 2 bottles of conditioner. Overall the price was good and there is a little kitchenette in the unit which is pretty handy for those budget conscious folks out there. The service was great, the location is nice being in the river, it was clean, and I’ll be back again. Good value.

Needed a reasonably priced place to stay in Kamloops on the way through. Price was reasonable so I decided to give it a chance. I was pleasantly surprised. Obviously this is an old chain hotel under newer ownership. The important point is that while older the property has been renovated and well maintained. The pride of ownership shines through. The location along the river is lovely, there is an indoor pool and hot tub and the free breakfast was above average. There are plenty of chairs, loungers and covered tables on the lawn facing the river. The a/c was already on when I got to my room which means a lot on a day nearing 36c. The area around the hotel is older and nothing to go on about. But for the price I am willing to drive the 5 mins to get anywhere in Kamloops I need to go. I’ve spent enough of my money and life in a hotel to tell you I’d take this place any day over some over priced chain hotel beside a strip mall. Overall it is clean, quiet, has excellent facilities at a very reasonable price. Will return.

Lovely little get away. It was off the beaten path and a little tricky to find but the view from the breakfast room was lovely. Rooms were small but clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was well taken care of and the attendant was right there making sure everything was stocked. Great place to crash our heads while we passed through Kamloops.
