"Charming, Eclectic Hotel on the Canal"
I loved my stay at the Le Marechal. The hotel staff were wonderful and the rooms very nice. My room was on the canal side with a lovely view. The breakfast were great, even including champagne for those wanting a mimosa. The bread and pastries were so good. I had dinner in the highly rated restaurant one evening and it was well worth it. I was in Colmar for the Christmas markets and this was the perfect location. In fact, one of the markets was just steps from the hotel. The hotel's exterior Christmas decorations were enchanting. I highly recommend the hotel. If I had a complaint, it would be that my room was on the small side (I was traveling alone so it wasn't an issue) and did not have a formal closet. I would stay at Le Marechal again and highly recommend it.

"Great location and service "
A warm welcome, room comfy if not huge, and a very good spread for breakfast. Best of all, regularly topped up jar of sweets on reception. Barely 10 minutes walk from the old town and 2 mins walk from the station.

"Decent hotel in a pleasant town"
Arrival was a little fraught as the hotel is on a busy road, we came by car and it was not clear where we should park or how to get to the hotel's garage. The public areas of the hotel are attractive and while the room was comfortable enough it was rather tired. We waited over 10 mins to see any staff in the bar and by the time they arrived it was too late to get a drink before going for dinner which was a little annoying. By the time we returned at 11pm the jazz playing seemed to have stopped which was also a little disappointing. Finally, we stayed in July, it was hot and the air conditioning in our room did not work so we had a sticky night.

"Nice, fairly new hotel, easy access from highway"
The hotel is in good condition, clean - although the hallway carpets could do with a shampoo. Complimentary espresso coffee for the first day of stay - you buy the pods later (.50 euros each - not a big deal). Nice breakfast area with both hot and cold options in the morning. Excellent and clean bathroom with separate w/c. Hot towel bar handy to the upscale shower. Staff ready to help when/if required.

"A wonderful stay!"
We had a suite with 2 king beds for 3 of us. The room was very spacious and designed with a partial wall between the two beds so as to allow for privacy between the two areas. We are had a large balcony overlooking the pool and mountains. It was very peaceful and relaxing to sit out on the balcony and enjoy the scenery. We had a very pleasant dinner in Brasserie Le V. The food was good and the portions generous. One of us tried Les pâtes du moment selon le chef/chef's special pasta (very flavorable) while the other two had salads (La salade de gambas rôtie au thym/Roasted prawn salad, with thyme and La salade de chèvre chaud, magret de canard fume/The Goat cheese salad, Smoked duck breast). We all enjoyed our dinners and had no room for dessert. The next morning we had the buffet breakfast (included in our room rate) sitting out on the terrace. There was more than enough to choose from....fresh fruit to make your own juice....warm baguettes and rustic breads....eggs, bacon, sausage, carved ham...cereals, different kinds of granola with lots of toppings...yogurts...cheeses...smoked salmon and cream cheese with all the accompaniments....croissants and brioche, as well as numerous hot and cold drinks. Our only regret was that we didn't spend more time at the resort. It would have been nice to have been able to partake of the spa facilities and pool. We would definitely recommend spending a few days at Les Viollettes.

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Jungholtz, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Jungholtz hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
