Hotel that has the looks but it is a fake

How can you enjoy your stay at an hotel that looks like a million dollars but the lady at reception treats you like dirt. And when you get to your room which looks excellent you find there is no hot water not even luke warm, icy cold in the middle of winter

Standard hotel not exceptional in any way

Hotel look nice from outside and in reception but room and corridor looked dated. Dinner Thai chicken curry was poor, not spiced and came with Indian poppadom and pickle tray, not good. Ravioli was drowned in a gloopy mushroom sauce. Breakfast buffet was ok, fairly standard not exceptional in any way. Room beds were comfortable and shower was good. Hotel was cold as was Joburg but there is a heater. Overall ok for a one night stay and airport shuttle is efficient.

We liked this hotel, I wish that face cloths ( wash cloths) were provided. It’s a shame to use big hand towels just for a small wash up.

All good. After exiting bag-claim, it was easy to get to the bus to the hotel. The bus is clearly marked and runs every 15 minutes. Staff is very nice and attentive.

Little outdated property but that’s the only problem. Rest all good. convenient location and pleasant staff. Good breakfast. The lady who was making omelettes noticed that I was struggling with vegetarian options and made special food for me. This personal touch was amazing.
