Complaint about reservation cancellation

Right after I arrive in Istanbul I got a WhatsApp message from the hotel asking what time I was supposed to be at the hotel to which I responded explaining that I was at the airport and was about to take a taxi and head to the hotel. In about half an hour later, and while I was in the taxi on my way there, I got a new WhatsApp message to inform me that my reservation was cancelled and that they had no rooms available. This is unacceptable and has caused me a terrible inconvenience. I demand to be compensated for it. I have and can provide evidence of the above. I look forward to hearing from you. Regards, Michael

The hotel was located close to places of interests. Rooftop restaurant breakfast came with breathtaking views. The staff were helpful with excursions. The only rooms available were the basement ones, I'd highly recommend others to opt for 2nd floor upwards ones, ours smelt musty and shook each time the train went by.

The room was dirty, it was pretty cold in the room, we weren t able to turn on the AC. The room was on the street side so it was noisy. We asked for another room and we got one but the other one was also not so clean and it was cold. The staff was accommodating and polite.

AN AWFUL HOTEL - beneath contempt!

We arrived at the hotel and found it had a large notice declaring it was CLOSED. Neither the hotel nor Hotels.Com informed us. No compensation was offered other than a refund of payment. I rate this hotel as beneath contempt!

Staff was wonderful. Professional and helpful at every turn. Breakfast was very good and view from enclosed terrace was nice. And location was better than expected. Just 10 minutes from most things to see and lots of good inexpensive restaurants in similar range. Very nice place to come home to after full days exploring the city.

Straight to the point

Amazing Hotel. Its very simple. Bathroom water is hot as hell. The room is extremely comfy. Its only about a 10 minute walk from the hagia sofia, blue mosque, topkapi and the brand bazaar. The heater is will burn you. Its that good. The tv could have more channels but other that its an excellent hotel. Breakfast is eh whatever, but good enough.

Great location!

Great location, clean room and helpful staff. It was great value for the price. The sauna looked OK but there was no relax area after taking sauna. Sauna needs to be paid extra.

A hotel we will remember

We were impressed by the warm and friendly staffs, from the manager to reception desk clerks, as wall as the room attendants. They were not only willing to help, but also were thoughtful and considerate, detail-oriented. They make us feel at home from the moment we entered the hotel throughout our stay to the time we said Goodbye to the staff member who carried our luggage to our taxi wearing shirt in cold weather. It was a very warm farewell you rarely see in New York City. We would strongly recommend this hotel to our colleagues in New York, and in TESOL Int’l whose members are from 145 countries all over the world.

Worst experience for a hotel. First of all there is no privacy, at about 1am or so someone kept trying to open my room but his card wouldnt work, then the manager came up used his masterkey and opened the door and i had to scream at him to keep him out. They tried to give thr room to someone else too. And next night EXACT same thing happened. I went to complain in the morning and there was another guest complaining same thing. Oh and there is construction going on right next door so starting at 8:45am you would hear loud noises as if someone is drilling in ur room, all the way to 5pm. Talked to the manager about that and he pretty much said he cant do anything about it.

Great staff & close to all attractions

The staff were brilliant at this hotel. Always willing to help. Yunus even went out & got us a refund for some milk we purchased from a local store which was smelling bad. We didn’t even ask him to! Rooms were always clean and tidy and the location is just a short walk away from the Blue mosque and other historical places of interest. Overall this was a great experience for our first time in Turkey. When we visit again in sure we’ll stay at Almina hotel again.

Nice hotel. Close to main tourist sites.

The hotel was good and very close to the main tourist sites. It is also close to the main shopping district and lots of restaurants close by so easy to grab something to eat. Very friendly locals.
