Ronny and his staff were so kind and accommodating and made this stay absolutely worth it. We were welcomed with a cocktail and had a custom ordered tasty breakfast every morning. The room itself is small (and no door to the bathroom) but it is all you really need. The secluded rooftop patio was our favorite place to be during sunsets. The restaurant is bustling but the noise dies down early in the night. The property is on top of a hill (car required) and is about a 10 minute drive to everything. Thank you for hosting us!

Our stay at Cielo Lodge was absolutely unforgettable and exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome with their warmth, attentiveness, and willingness to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality truly made the experience extra special. The food was another highlight of our trip — every meal was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The local ingredients and creative dishes gave us a true taste of Costa Rica, and dining with such breathtaking surroundings made it even more memorable. Cielo Lodge offers an amazing variety of activities, making it easy to experience the beauty and adventure of Costa Rica. Whether exploring nature, enjoying guided excursions, or simply relaxing and taking in the scenery, there was always something wonderful to do. The grounds themselves are absolutely gorgeous — lush, peaceful, and immaculately maintained. What truly amazed us was the incredible wildlife surrounding the lodge. We saw colorful birds, monkeys, and so many beautiful animals right in their natural habitat. It felt like being immersed in a tropical paradise. If you are looking for a place that combines luxury, adventure, incredible food, outstanding service, and the superb wildlife of Costa Rica, Cielo Lodge is truly a hidden gem. We cannot wait to return.

The hotel is locsated in a small peninsula called Palo Seco, 15' away from the town of Parrita. It is a resort with different individual cabins in the middle of a jungle and next to the sea. Our first night there there was a power outtage in the whole 'island' and there was no light or water in our cabin. The next day, when we came back from visiting Manuel Antonio, power was back but went again in the evening. We brought our own dinner at the restaurant that had a generator and by the time we were finished it came back. The rest of the days there were no other power outtages. Other than that, it is a lovely place. We saw monkeys and scarlet macaws in the surrondings. Our room was spacious. It had a/c and a fan. The mattresses were comfortable. It had a TV (just streaming though) and a a small fridge. The bathroom was modern and clean and had toiletries. The property had a large pool, shaped like a turtle, where we swam everyday of our stay. Breakfast consisted of bread, coffee, juices and eggs that they would cook for us (fried or scrambled). Because of the outtage, they even added a few slices of bacon to our breakfast. There are a few dogs running around the property which our 6 year old loved playing with, but the star is, no doubt, Pepa the raccoon. Our kid would ask everyday for it. One of our favourite hotels in our Tico trip.

If you want ultimate rainforest luxury and top level service you should stay here. Not to be missed. Raft in and out via the Pacuare river and be completely enveloped by the forest and river in the middle of nowhere while having high level meals breakfast, lunch and dinner, incredible adventure programs like zip lining through the canopy and repelling down little waterfall. Seriously. 1000% The food was top tier. The service was thoughtful and personal. The staff is amazing. And they have great wifi. In the middle of nowhere. Deep jungle. The rafting is world class. I had a Linda vista villa and it was an absurd amount of space and privacy with a personal plunge pool. Come back from dinner and your lights are on, fan going and curtains drawn. Seriously, stay here. I'm coming back again someday.
