Room was small but quiet. The desk does close at 8 pm and is not staffed at night so note your arrival time. Dog friendly and in a great location.

The property was fine. It’s clean and cute. Our room was small but I don’t know if all are. It didn’t run as smoothly as it could have. We had a hard time finding someone to come to the front desk so we could check out in the morning (we finally called the main number and they sent someone ) and the coffee that we were told would be set up was not set up until later than we were told and after we had already gone out and bought coffee. (Same for the water.) Tip: if you have a car, give them your license plate number and you can park for free anywhere in the are.

Cute but not for those that value sleeping

Cute little place in a desirable area of town but the bed is extremely uncomfortable and the pillows were terrible. Additionally, it's so loud between the street noise and the upstairs creaking from other guests, I got almost no sleep.

Hidden Gem in Idaho Springs

My husband and I absolutely loved this hotel. It’s got bed and breakfast vibes with all the amenities you need. We instantly felt welcome and at home here. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Our room and the property was clean and well cared for. Club Hotel is situated in the heart of Idaho Springs. Easy walk to restaurants, shopping and close to outdoor activities. If we could give it 10 stars, we would!

Confused about 5 star reviews

The person at front desk check in was not friendly in any way. It seemed like she was bothered by us showing up. We got up to the room (Alice) around 4-5pm on a ~70 degree day and it was 83F in the room. The thermostat was on “heat” for some reason. We immediately turned it to off, which was the only other option. Then we opened the window as wide as it goes and the fan as high as it goes. I think this room gets a lot of afternoon sun which didn’t help, but there is no AC that guest can control, or possibly at all. I can’t imagine staying in that room on a warmer day. Hotels.com sent me a message asking how check in went so I responded with the above info. At 10pm as we’re trying to fall asleep, we get an angry call from the hotel saying “don’t go complaining to Expedia if you didn’t even call here first.” The man was aggressive. They wanted to come into the room to see how hot it was and possibly fix it, but with no AC I don’t know how that would be possible. We declined to have them come inside since we were in bed. It took a solid 5 min at least to get off the phone before the man hung up. That was unsettling and definitely ruined our impression of the hotel. Pros was super walkable, and even though email made it seem that we’d pay our own parking, they did cover the length of the stay. Cons: hot rooms with no AC, rude staff, pricy for the condition of the building and no amenities. Would not return.

Charming

Unique Victorian style hotel. Room was more of a suite. Huge shower. Beautiful area in a walkable downtown area. Let me stay there with my cat and had a welcome kit for her.
