We stayed at the Hvitsekur Hotel just overnight. Stuff was so nice, helpful and friendly. I will recomend this hotel for Round Trip in Iceland.

Quiet location, nearby horses to see across the fence, friendly staff, but description needs to be changed/updated to reflect that dinner is available, not just breakfast. We tried to message the hotel the day before to confirm dinner availability but did not receive a response. I do admit I should have called instead of using Travelocity's method of communication and was sorry to have missed dinner which sounded very good. Also, the hotel is nearly 2k walk to the lake, 9k to Hvitserkur.

Great stop if you’re driving the ring road and don’t want to do Reykjavik to Akureyri in 1 day! We were the first to arrive for the night so we were a little worried because it didn’t look open from the road but once inside, it’s clean, cozy and the views are great—Open/dark skies for northern lights viewing close to a beautiful black sand beach! Would definitely stay again!

The hotel and rooms are very basic but it was still quite pricey although there were hardly any other guests. It seems as though the owners are still only part way through renovating it. The location is beautiful & very peaceful. Breakfast was minimal but we had a good dinner the night before about 30 minutes away in Hvammstangi at Sjavarborg restaurant.

Very nice staff and food. Facilities may be up for some upgrading, but this is compensated largely by the quietness and the hospitality. The waffles at breakfast are very nice. On top of this comes a ride with a fantastic horse in avnice scenary. Waaw!
