The hotel was easy to access from the highway. The room was comfortable although it wasn't as clean as I hoped it would be. Around the toilet was dirty. We requested our room be cleaned once during our 4-night stay. The area around the toilet was missed again. We let the front desk know. The breakfast was good. They offered hot items. They seemed to be understaffed in the breakfast area on the weekend. There was a wait for the food to come out of the kitchen.

Clean, comfortable and functional rooms in good condition. Nice staff. Price was better than other hotels. Breakfast equipment (typical waffle making station, juice dispenser and coffee bar) were not all working properly resulting in juice that was diluted and unusual color, intermittent waffle batter dispensing and no decaf coffee. Hot food was ok. Cold cereal and bagels were fine. The sign out front said that the pool was closed but the staff said it was open so we tried it. The water circulation and filtration system may not have been working as no flow could be detected and we could not smell any chlorine. The water looked clean but we decided to cut our swim short. The pool was not a factor in our choice to stay there so it wasn’t a big problem for us. The in-house restaurant was out of commission. Again, this was no big deal as there are plenty of nearby restaurants and we didn’t even know about the in-house restaurant when we booked. One of the other guests kept propping open the locked exterior side door which is a red flag in my opinion. Conclude from that what you will. Overall our needs were met, just a few rough edges on the total experience.

Room was clean. The bathroom sink had no drain plug. A new toilet seat had been installed. Unfortunately the toilet lid and the toilet seat could not be fully raised, so they had to be held up when using the toilet. This was extremely inconvenient

Everything was great except that the breakfast bar was not tended to in a timely fashion. They were out of many of the hot items when we went to eat. They eventually filled the trays up. But we had to make do with what they had to get on the road.

Very smooth all the way around. We needed an overnight after a long day of playing at Evans Plunge. Easy check in, great breakfast, spacious room, and everything was clean. Pool wasn't working, but was well advertised that it was closed. Very pleased, will be staying again

It's a really good value for the money and it has great parking for when we bring our motorcycle up there. The staff is very friendly but you can tell that they are understaffed. The room could use a little bit of upgrade, but it was clean and very very quiet. Beds are comfortable. We always stay there when we go to the Black Hills and will continue to do so. The woman that helped us at the front desk was so so friendly and very accommodating and helpful. We really appreciated her a lot and she's pregnant!

Clean.Friendly staff. Quality hotel at one time. Large comfortable room. Average hotel breakfast. No hot tub. Property not well maintained, with simple repairs ( paint, ceiling water damage) being neglected. Minimal staff. Would stay again, but will not be an option in the future if the property continues to be neglected.

Good choice centrally located to many attractions

Very decent property. Staff very professional. Very clean room including bathroom. Shows maintenance continuous to keep property in great condition. Very affordable rates - highly recommended.

A slow decline, but worth fixing

I’ve stayed multiple time in the past 5 years and have noticed a slow decline in the condition of the property, breakfast & service. This time there were no wash cloths in my bathroom, I had to go to the front desk for them; the bathroom floor was very sticky & the dead bolt in my door didn’t work (was out of alignment so couldn’t be used) - both brought to the attention of the front desk attendant, and the hot breakfast used to be better but now round puck-shaped eggs are offered & were not appetizing. Lots of garbage & garbage bags were piled up outside the glass doors in the dining area that was very unsightly. There is a broken down ice machine turned backwards next to the elevator which seemed to indicate it can’t or won’t be fixed. It’s sad, this hotel is in a nice spot, on a convenient route. I hope it doesn’t slip further.
