Our stay at Applesauce Inn was absolutely wonderful. The inn is charming, peaceful, and beautifully maintained, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts were incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh, homemade dishes that were the perfect start to each day.

We stayed in the Amelia room. The bathroom was across the hall. There was no soap available for the shower, only the liquid hand soap. Very sparse accommodations. 7/10 for us

Quiet and peaceful

We loved staying in the Charlie Room. It was quiet and comfortable. We could walk right into Central Lake and eat or we could drive a little and walk neighboring towns. It was a wonderful stay!

Unfortunately, we ran into a situation with a sick child and had to make a last-minute change of plans. We were well aware that this was inside of the typical timeframe where adjustments to our stay could be made, but the experience we had made us feel undervalued and ignored. There was a complete failure by the host to respond to any form of communication, including multiple phone calls/messages, texts and emails. What if we had been on site, dealing with an issue in our room/unit? The total lack of response is completely unacceptable. In a customer focused industry, this was an extremely frustrating and disheartening experience.

The room was very clean and so were the out door amenities! I love how everything we wanted was easily accessible.

Staff was friendly. Place was quiet & clean.

Great location if you are wanting to travel around Northern Michigan. Cute town with a convenient grocery store, Mammoth Distillery Lounge and great little pizza place. Check in was easy, but no personal communication from owners. Only automated messages. Unit could have been cleaner. There was sand on the floor and some laundry in the dryer which was strange. Unit did not have as many beds as advertised so I’m glad we didn’t need more. AC unit was incredibly loud and not very efficient. Had to keep the door open between the bedrooms in order to try to cool both rooms. Took about 2 days to get it comfortable, but it was so loud! Recommend switching to a mini split and adding a second one in the other bedroom. Not really a comfortable place to sit if you want to watch TV. The available appliances were helpful. Great to have the fridge and option to do laundry. Bathroom was roomy and happy to have 2 sinks. Leo the cat was a great welcoming party.
