Basic hotel in rural but beautiful location.our room had a big window viewing the pictorial Iceland landscape, where color changed at different hours. Room and bedding were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Dinner was a bit pricy but reasonable in middle of nowhere.

The place is a tad outdated, but it has a great nostalgic look and charm. The free breakfast was fantastic, and the dinners were really good. The wifi was spotty, but nothing that toggling between the two networks didn't solve. The location is fantastic, we stayed for two nights and were able to make day trips toward Vatnajökull National Park, Jokulsarlon and Fjallsárlón lagoons, and Diamond Beach one day, then toward Hofn and Stokksnes the next. We'd definitely stay here again and suggest the hotel to anyone looking to spend a few days in this area.
