The staff here are incredible - helpful and kind. The rooms are updated and kept very clean. It was a great stay for my little family of 3. Rooms were quiet for our son to sleep through the night. Breakfast is limited, but lots of fresh fruit and veggies to make it worthwhile. Location is top-notch for downtown vacationing.

The street it is on is very busy, basically filled with street vendors, mostly street food, rather dirty, the hotel lobby smelled of sewer as did the room, we were on the street side so not sure if that had anything to do with it? Some times the smell was worse than other times, the room was extremely small for two people on a month long vacation, just no where to put anything, on the plus side, the staff were very helpful and friendly, breakfast was so so, coffee always just warm, they had passion fruit in a cooler but didn’t bring it out even when I asked for some 😩

Tugged in a used to be an old market this location is just perfect to explore the nearby attractions, good resautants, shopping centres by walking. The hotel staffs are a bunch of young energetic, enthusiastic, friendly people. The room is clean, quiet and the rooftop cafe is a perfect view to the city. The breakfast buffet is also very good with many choices for everyone. One last thing is this location is not too far from the airport and if you book the transportation to the airport with the hotel, they would take care of it nicely.

Very nice staff from reception - room services - and kitchen. So convenient for walking around to Ben Thanh market - Opera house - Nguyen Hue walking street - Saigon center and Takashimaya shopping Mall - Saigon tourist and viettravel area close by distance 10-13 minutes by walk . The hotel is great - staff are fantastic and so helpful. Rooms small but function well and extremely clean. You leave the hotel onto a 'real' Vietnamese street which can be fun but some may find a little daunting. Rooftop for breakfast is really pleasant looking out over District 1. Overall, amazing value for money.

The Hato is in a convenient location close to markets and Saigon Square/centre. 1 block from walking street in district 1. Great location. Bathroom was particularly nice and recently redone. We had a triple which was cozy (limited space) but ok if you are only doing a few nights. Clean and tidy and the staff were very helpful and on the door til very late (even 24 hours ??) Breakfast was just ok. Overall a decent place to stay if you get it for a good deal.

Hotel Review The hotel has some great qualities but also room for improvement. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the stay more enjoyable. The location is very convenient, with plenty of food options just steps away from the hotel. However, the condition of the room left much to be desired. The walls were stained and in poor shape, and the chair upholstery was also visibly stained, which detracted from the overall comfort and cleanliness of the space. While the hotel’s positives are noteworthy, more attention to room maintenance and cleanliness would go a long way in improving the guest experience.
