Two perfect days

Mitsui Garden doesn't dissapoint. While this particular hotel was not as grand as the one in Taiwan where I stayed previously, the brand is something that I will always consider. I like the idea that there's a guest lounge where you can relax outside of the room. Light snack is offered but don't expect much. Breakfast is sufficient .Overall, it was a comfortable accomodation.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Very convenient central location and lovely throughout. I really liked the decoration and layout of the room, very minimal and calming, with a comfy bed. I loved hanging out and eating breakfast in the lounge on foot 25, with gorgeous views of the city! It just felt like such a calming and refined place.

Loved my stay at Matsui Garden Inn!

As a hotel, the beds are comfortable, the views are nice, the breakfast on the 25th floor was memorable — but the highlight for me was Midori’s tour of Hiroshima for hotel guests. Midori loves Hiroshima and does a great job of explaining its history. I appreciated being able to ask questions about both Hiroshima and Japan. I also loved seeing how she interacts with the locals and I was able to experience Hiroshima like a local. Thank you Mitsui Garden Hotel and thank you Midori.

Great location

Great location for the Hiroshima dome. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room very clean and very comfy bed. Restaurant on the top floor (25th) which gives a great view while eating

The hotel is in an ideal location and walkable to most tourist attractions. The rooms are dated however clean. Our first room had a washroom that had a distasteful odour. The manger came promptly and provided us with a new room. Unfortunately the new room also had an odour. I would not rate this as 4 star hotel; however the staff were extremely helpful and did what they could to make our stay comfortable. The soft ice cream on the 25th floor was a bonus.

The highlight of our stay at this hotel was the tour of the Hiroshima memorial. Our tour guide, provided by the hotel, was excellent. She gave us a concise and easy to understand explanation of each of the landmarks we visited, all fully in English. She was also very amiable and kept a positive and easy-going attitude throughout the tour, never rushing us when we took our time to take photos. While waiting for the rest of the tourists to join us, the tour guide showed us how to make a traditional Hiroshima origami, which was a nice and quaint activity. Overall, a pleasant experience at the hotel but I mostly recommend taking advantage of the included Hiroshima memorial tour.

Staff very friendly. Hotel adequate. We do have one major disappointment about this hotel and that is there is no evening bar to buy drinks and relax, or anywhere to have a coffee. Had I have been aware of this I would not have booked this hotel.
