The Barcelo Guatemala is extremely clean with excellent balance of modern touches and traditional details. The staff was superb, very polite, courteous and kind. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. They have any food option you may want. I ordered room service on days I didn't want to eat at the restaurant and the food came quickly and was very delicious.

Definitely was an amazing stay. The security there is outstanding! Felt safe there for sure! The terrace was also a nice touch. The staff were also friendly, some nights they had a live performance which I thought was really nice. Absolutely would go back!!

Check in was later at night after an exhaustive day and a 6:00am flight ahead. Tried to inform the attendant that the breakfast prepaid for is not required and can be discounted for two people. She totally ignored me and just said the shuttle to the airport is at 4:00am, be 10 minutes early, hear is your key card and take the south elevator. What a piece of work she was.
