The lady at the front desk was nice. Aside from that, this was one of the filthiest and broken hotels I’ve ever been in. This location should be completely taken offline and reconstituted.

Excellent stay! The only thing I didn’t like was that we didn’t have a microwave in the room. The microwave was in the hallway with the ice maker. As nice as this hotel is there should be a microwave in every room. It’s inconvenient to take your food down the hall to warm it up. I hope this is one amenity they start to include in all rooms going forward.

Such a unique and beautiful place to stay! The Hotel Chalet really captured the feeling of stepping back into the days when train travel was luxurious and a little highfalutin, but without sacrificing any of the modern comforts. Our room was beautiful. The colors, patterns, textures and little details made it feel luxurious, warm and completely different from a typical hotel room. You really felt like you were staying upstairs in an old train station in the 1800s, when traveling somewhere was part of the experience itself. I also loved how much life there was downstairs. The lobby, coffee bar, check-in area and all the different spaces still made it easy to imagine how the building once functioned as an actual train station. They’ve updated it beautifully without taking away the history and character that make it special. Our room was comfortable, beautifully done and just a really fun place to come back to at the end of the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay at The Hotel Chalet again!

Great location and fun lobby but don’t expect any flexibility to their policies or availability of staff for anything beyond the basics. We had someone knock on our door at 1am and then throw a party next door. The entire hotel has concrete floors which carries sound. Went downstairs for some assistance, only to be locked out of the lobby. Called the phone numbers they suggested and still haven’t heard back 3 days later. Asked for a refund after not needing the night, and was told to call the GM. Did that. Still no call back. Great spot but for the money, you’ll find better service at a bigger chain hotel.

This was such a gteat book. I had no idea it would truly be so close to muntain. Pictures are exactly how room is. Extremely comfortable beds. Fire pit nice. Covered bbq arra. If you need to feel like hotel where you just dont care then not for you. No ice. I was ok with this it was what i wanted in woods close to lookout mountain hiking. Quiet at night. If i could give 7 stars i would. I will 1000% be back next year.

Clean room, staff was polite. Breakfast options was good. No complaints.

Room was clean staff was very pleasant and helpful the breakfast was ok and our air conditioning struggled. The hall on the 5th floor air conditioning was not working properly and that made the room units struggle to keep the rooms cool.
