Book the room on Hotels.com because it said they had three rooms available 2 1/2 hours away. We get there with a confirmation from Hotels.com and was told oh we’re sorry we don’t have no rooms and by the way they’re building a new data center around here. Bottom line is don’t blame Hotels.com if your hotel is booked why not go out there and say it’s booked so it cost an extra $90 out-of-pocket to go get another room for the night

Things to keep in mind when staying here. You cannot call the front desk. All communication goes to a central command. The room was well Belle average. Several holes had been patched but not repainted. All the stainless had rust. Saw a couple of bugs in my room. Coffee machine is probably a 1989 model. The pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Left the sign on the door so I could get the room cleaned. They Did not make the bed, half fast wiped down the table I had breakfast at, did not restock the coffee and sugar (had to go get it at the front desk) they took the dirty towel but did not replace it. The people at the front desk were polite.

The room smelled like kitty litter, I asked for extra pillows and the pillow cases were stained, looked like old blood. You had to hold down the toilet handle for 6 to 8 seconds for it to flush. Breakfast was not the best the food. It was either undercooked or overcooked. The beds were very squeaky, maybe broken springs. I have stayed here one other time, which was good, but this time around, I felt I was in a complete different hotel. I was not happy.

Will stay again

We absolutely loved our stay here. We were just passing through and this was an unexpected little gem. Had no idea that is the hometown to author Larry McMurtry (Lonesome Dove). The decor is super cool and beds were so comfortable. Check in was a breeze and the owners are very friendly. The diner across the street was great for breakfast. Would absolutely stay here again if we were close.

The whole place was hanging on by a thread

Our room had no hot water spoke with multiple staff, was told when I got back for my second night we would be moved. We got back and they said they were full and no rooms available. The lady running the bar did give us complementary breakfast the last morning. We were told they are going to refund some of the cost but have not seen it yet. Have stayed here before with no issues but this time was not good.
