"Daughter's Wedding"
Stayed here for two nights for wedding, and overall, the hotel is better than expected. Food is excellent and good selection in bar, although a little pricy. Dated decor and hall carpets. Staff always willing to help.

"Excellent Option"
My family enjoyed Old Town Chambers due to its proximity to Old Town Edinburgh and the amenities offered in the apartment. The beds were very comfortable and the showers were wonderful. The kitchen was well-supplied. I would recommend the Old Town Chambers for families. One thing to keep in mind for those with babies: the room we stayed in was near a restaurant/bar, so, there was noise/music long into the night.

"Nice hotel, a 10 minute bus ride to Princes Street"
We wanted to stay outside of the city centre to avoid too much noise from the Edinburgh Festival activities and this hotel enabled us to do this. If we return to Edinburgh we will consider staying closer to the city centre as there is little to do in the vicinity of this hotel apart from visiting a Morrison's supermarket across the road.

"Seagulls"
We found the hotel to be excellent in all expected areas, including an excellent location. However, flocks of seagulls live around the building. Each night they begin to call and don't stop until daybreak. Very disappointing as nothing can be done about it. Even with windows shut and heavy blinds drawn the noise comes through. We had two rooms on different sides of the hotel and the experience was similar.

"Great location with poor service"
Great location but poorly managed with no attention to detail and poor cleanliness. Breakfast was good, but tables not properly cleaned. Cups at breakfast were sometimes not clean. Service at breakfast was poor except for one good and attentive server. Coffee in lobby (good idea) was not refillled, ran out of cups and no one cleaned up so dirty cups were all over. Room cleaning terrible. Used coffee cups not cleaned overnight. Sometimes used soaps replaced, sometimes not. Bottom line: you wouldn't stay here but for the location. I would come back because of the location. But, at this price point, you should at least get the attention to detail and cleanliness of a Novotel. If you can't deal with this stay at the Old Course Hotel.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Glenrothes hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
