THE AMAZING LOCATION THE VIEWS OF THE MOUNTAINS AND VALLEYS AND AMAZING POOL (WE DID NOT GET TO USE IT BECAUSE DUE TO THE TEMPERATURE BEING IN THE 60'S) THE RESTAURANT WHICH IS THE NEXT TO THE HOTEL WAS GREAT !!!

Villa Cora was an interesting and pleasant stay with a nice pool, lovely staff, and a beautiful setting. We enjoyed our stay but likely will not return. Strengths: - Well-kept stately villa and grounds - Attractive, beautifully-designed room and indoor common areas - Helpful, kind, and capable staff pre-arrival and during our stay - A lovely pool environment, perfect for staying cool and relaxing in summer - Excellent fresh lunch at the poolside restaurant Le Bistrot - A general sense of peace and calmness - Good shuttle service when available Areas of Improvement: - Value: at an average €1,065 / night (incl. tax), it was too expensive for what it offered - Air conditioning was weak and the room was hot throughout our stay - Housekeeping was inconsistent - Too many expensive extras - Weak service at the pool - The strange shuttle hours of 9:30 - 12:30 and 4:30 - 8:30 left gaps and required us to take many expensive taxis - Very little storage space in the small Classic Room - Rooftop bar and basement speakeasy were both closed despite being advertised on the hotel website I debated whether to rate this property 3 or 4 out of 5, and the quality of staff broke the tie for me. Firstly this hotel is on a side street and not easy to find. We arrived with two young children on an intense heat wave day to check in for a confirmed, family room booked through Expedia. At check-in we were told the air conditioning in our room was broken. They made no attempt to inform us in advance of the issue or rebook us into a different room. The front desk declined to move us to another room and offered only a refund — which doesn’t help when an equivalent room for the same dates now costs roughly double, leaving us to find and pay for alternative accommodation ourselves in peak summer heat. When we asked to resolve it with the manager, Giulia, the front desk would not call her directly and said they were unable to reach her; our own later attempts to contact her also went unanswered. This was not a weekend check-in or a late night check-in that the manager is not available. She had instructed the front desk not to call her. For a 4-star hotel at this price, being unable to provide a functioning air-conditioned room, refusing to relocate us, and leaving guests with no way to reach management is a serious failure. A carefully planned family trip, badly let down by rude staff and missing manager. Whoever owns this hotel should evaluate. The hotel itself is not a 4 star either at best a 1 or 2 star. We would recommend travels AVOID this hotel.

More quiet residential area of Firenze in walking distance of center but away from the crowds. No elevator and two flight of stairs.
