Like most places in Vietnam, maintenance is a bit of an issue. However, breakfast was great and staff were truly helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Hotel was very close to shops, restaurants, Train Street and the lake.

The Oriental Jade was our home for five nights in the most exciting part of Hanoi. It was lovely to walk back in after a day out exploring the bustle of the Old Quarter and be greeted by a front desk staff that genuinely was happy to see us and also interested if we had had a good time in their lovely city. We travel often, and when we can, stay in 5 star hotels. As we drove away to the airport (in a car provided gratis by the hotel), we both remarked that we may just have experienced the finest service we’ve ever received. Two weeks later, and neither of us has come up with a single flaw. Kudos to management and each and every one of the staff we interacted with. Really exceptional. Thank you again.

The location is perfect (super close to the iconic Train Street). You are going to love the staff, they are extremely kind and respectful. Angela was super helpful.

호텔 위치나 전반적 직원들의 친절도 및 청결함은 만족스러웠음. 다만 이 호텔의 가장 단점은 그 나라 관광객들이 꽤 옴....가족단위 관광객들도 많음. 그래서 진짜 애들이 뛰어다니고...꽥꽥거리고... 그 나라 관광객들은 특히 문도 쾅쾅 목소리도 크고 최악이었음...ㅠ 호텔의 잘못은 아니지만 서양인들은 다 조용하고 좋은데 중동쪽 가족단위나 그 나라 관광객 가족단위들은 시끄럽고....어쨌든 덕분에 방을 두번이나 바꿈..ㅎ

Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended We had a wonderful stay at GRAND HÔTEL du LAC Hanoi. From the moment we checked in until the day we checked out, the entire hotel team was incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming. What really stood out to us was the hospitality shown by everyone we encountered — from the bellboys and reception team to housekeeping, as well as the staff at the restaurant and bar. Everyone made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a great experience and truly felt well taken care of. Definitely worth the stay, and we would happily stay at GRAND HÔTEL du LAC Hanoi again on our next visit to Hanoi.

The shining hotel was a lovely place to stay in Hanoi. The rooms and staff were lovely and really enjoyed the pool/bar area, especially at night. The staff were fantastic as it was very hot and they did a great job up there
