The Victoria is in an old building delightfully restored on the inside. our room was large, well appointed. The desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. We were entirely pleased with our stay.

Clean hotel. Close to train station, transit sites and tour companies. Staff is wonderful and kind. Just be prepared that it’s near the main hub therefore you’ll see homeless and the red light district is nearby. Otherwise I’d stay again and again if back in Germany.

The hotel and staff was great. I’m giving it an average rating because it’s in a tough part of the city. We had a lot of street noise until 2 am. It was a bit scary walking back to the hotel after dark

Everything? Can I simply say everything about the Victoria was above expectations. Friendly, clean and fairly quiet. Close to the train station made us choose it, but everything was great. Service and the breakfast - one of our best hotel meals ever. Just what we needed.

Good location near the train station. Walkable to the Aldstat area. Room is ok, bed is comfortable. As others have said, there are many homeless people in the neighbourhood near the train station, but they usually don't bother people. It's also a busy neighbourhood so there's always plenty of people walking and cars driving. Room is quiet.

I would not return.

Extremely friendly and helpful reception staff. Quite a decent bathroom, well-functioning air conditioning. My room had a mattress deformed from age, saggy and torn pillows. There was no place to unpack and then store my suitcase. Despite the hanger, I was woken up by banging on the door and the scream of "Houskeeping!!!". Fast, comfortable elevator, decent breakfast. Very misleading 4 stars superior indicating the hotel class... I have no idea who was at fault - the hotel or the company I booked with, but the room I was assigned at the hotel did not resemble the ones presented in the photos on hotels.com at all

Great value hotel to stay in. Nice staff and does the job super well for needing a one-person comfortable room. Only feedback I have is that would be nice to install card reader outside the hotel to get in using room card during late hours. The reception is always there by the door but I had the bad luck of getting to the hotel one late night while receptionist was in the the restroom. I would stay here again and recommend others to do the same.
