We have stayed in Dorint hotels many times. This hotel has had a number of upgrades to the Rooms, Reception area and Restaurants. The hotel was very quiet when we stayed and felt a little soulless, but overall service was good, rooms were clean and had a very comfortable stay.

What they do not say is that the spa services in the pool they charge per person per day, the ski lifts are not even close and are not within walking distance. Der schöne Asten - Resort Winterberg
Great service, really friendly staff at reception. Our floor was being renovated so it looked a bit messy, and the cleaner came in the room about 10 am when we were still there getting dressed up.... but apart from that really good hotel! also nice area to go on walks and hikes.
