We have stayed in Dorint hotels many times. This hotel has had a number of upgrades to the Rooms, Reception area and Restaurants. The hotel was very quiet when we stayed and felt a little soulless, but overall service was good, rooms were clean and had a very comfortable stay.

What they do not say is that the spa services in the pool they charge per person per day, the ski lifts are not even close and are not within walking distance. The location was excellent. There are several little hiking trails you can follow right from the resort. It is also an easy walk into town.

Hotel Engemann Kurve
Very friendly staff, and they have their private parking. No need to reserve. They are situated near a tunnel under the centre of Winterberg, so if you walk up the side of the tunnel you are right in the centre! And the hotel is really near the main road. Very convenient.

Der schöne Asten - Resort Winterberg
Great service, really friendly staff at reception. Our floor was being renovated so it looked a bit messy, and the cleaner came in the room about 10 am when we were still there getting dressed up.... but apart from that really good hotel! also nice area to go on walks and hikes.

Personal zuvorkommend. Wasserkocher auf dem Zimmer wäre gut gewesen. Zimmer sauber, technische Geräte nicht mehr ganz aktuell. Spa Bereich gut. Lage des Hotels hervorragend.

Good location , with easy parking. 5k to the slopes in Winterberg. Good breakfast each morning. Bar on site. if you wish to ski you will need your own transport. there isn't really anything else to do in Niedersdorf. Abut it's not far to Winterberg.
