Great Location

I was staying here for business. The location is great, short walk to local restaurants and the train station. The staff are wonderful, very helpful and are fluent in English. I book this location as it is one of the few locations in the area with air conditioning which is much needed in this hot part of Germany.

Outstanding boutique hotel

I've stayed at a lot of hotels around the world and this small boutique hotel outside of Freiburg is one of my top three for sure! Very modern and fresh design it was specifically created with Feng Shui principles in mind to create a place of restfulness and relaxation. That is also the reason why they don't have hotel-wide Wifi - to avoid any unnecessary electrical radiation. If you do want Wifiy, however, you can get a free hotspot at the lobby that plugs into the wired outlet in your room and gives you ultra fast wifi for your phone and tablet. Much better than the standard hotel Wifi! Breakfast was excellent as well with different assortments of breads, cheeses, meats and fruits. My (standard) room was a decent size and I had a small balcony right next to a creek that flows through town. There is a parking garage bekow the hotel for €9, but there is also lots of street parking available, which is free. It's one of the few hotels around here that has A/C, which was a huge place in the 95F/36C degree humid weather we had the last couple of days. I can HIGHLY recommend this hotel and will most certainly stay here again if I come through the region in the future.

Beautiful hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Lack of Wi-Fi was a bit annoying, but ethernet cables are available from the front desk. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast area is on the top floor with a beautiful view. Buffet options were tasty and healthy.

Clean "Concept" Hotel.

This is a Feng Shui concept hotel. I know nothing about Feng Shui, but I can say that this hotel is clean and comfortable, but not homey or warm. Bright LED lighting, spare furnishings, and basic amenities give it a somewhat austere feeling. The breakfast, however, was lovely and varied. I particularly enjoyed grinding my own organic cereal flakes! Last, as noted by others, there is no WIFI. But there is ethernet, which worked for me. I would stay there again as it is very convenient for where I needed to be. But it is definitely not typical of the European hotel experience.

Wonderful

Our fourth stay with a couple over 2 weeks long. The hotel has what we require. It starts with a great staff, the best breakfast buffet I have had in Europe, close to town, train (and bus) station and our other needs, a clean, quiet, comfortable and secure room with a safe. Exactly what we want at a very reasonable price. Nice restaurants and gelato nearby also. It is completely non-smoking with English spoken. Thank You

I stayed here for one night during an extreme heatwave and the air conditioning was a dream!! The balcony was cool too. My only complaint and the reason I'm giving it 4 stars is no wifi. :(

While the rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable, some important features of the hotel were not as described in the listing. There was no wifi and no blackout curtains, as listed in my confirmation from hotels.com. The internet offered is via a cable that you can plug your own computer into in the hotel lobby. The curtains are transparent. I would not recommend staying here unless you have business in Emmendingen because it is not close to Frieburg or any other sights.
