The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and there were plenty of towels. The bed was comfortable. We stayed in an upgraded room which included a separate living and dining area, so we had plenty of room to relax in. The outdoor pool was a hit with the kids and a nice bit of relief from the heat. The resort had an older resort type vibe to it. It was close to local sightseeing spots and a short drive to Avonlea Village and Cavendish.

Always a delight to stay at the Pownal. Close to downtown, clean, and with a bit of character. Never any problems.

The owners were great, very accommodating. The accomodatiins were sufficient and well located. The property itself is tired and the grounds were not very well maintained. Given the level of the property I felt it was over priced.

The Sandpiper Cottage was perfect for our time on Prince Edward Island. We walked to Avonlea Village for dinner and ice cream, and we also walked to Green Gables Heritage Place and did the full walking tour of all the LM Montgomery sites. This was the perfect location for doing all things Anne. The cottage was lovely, clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. It was next to the street, but we did not have an issue with street noise. Scarlet was very responsive and always answered my questions when I reached out to her. Cavendish is also pretty central for exploring other parts of the island as well. We loved our time on PEI!
