It was nice and my son really enjoyed our stay.

Although ‘soap’ was included in the bathroom, no shower soap, nor shampoo, was available….handsoap only. This unit is probably OK for a single traveler, but not for couples. Cheap furnishings and poor craftsmanship of finish work…trim, flooring, paint, etc. No air conditioning…just a small ceiling fan, with the pull-chain out of reach to adjust the speed. Regular size bed was mattress only, no box springs. Price was unreasonable for this property. Not impressed and will not return.

We really enjoyed our stay except our party of 11 in 3 rooms were located on 3 separate floors. Reservations could have made a better attempt at keeping us all together. Especially since we had 5 little ones. Of course it was too late to change things once we arrived. Our room was next to a stairwell and it was thump-thump all night. Make sure you know where your room is located before you accept. There is a lot of walking and stairs from one section to another. Our bed squeaked really bad. Also, for the price of these rooms, providing a bottle of water would have been appreciated! Be aware— they do tell you, you can pick up a reusable cup, however they don’t tell you it’s like $23. Location is good and property/landscape is beautiful!

The staff were friendly and the room was clean!

The staff were great. The property is out dated and the hot tub does not get very hot. However it is really big and the kids enjoyed the swim and small slides. Good location to Mackinaw city and both ferries.

Just OK! If you’re looking for a great deal, then this is your oasis. No frills Mom and Pop roadside motel. Pretty cheap to stay there, but there’s just a single knob lock on the door. No deadbolt So my wife felt like it lacked security. The second problem was the room smelled like mold. They had a Damp- Rid bucket placed in the bathroom that needed to be drained and refilled with new Damp-Rid material to continue the process of removing the mold and must out of the room. The AC struggled to keep us cool. We personally won’t stay here again but it was economical and had some charm. If the necessary repairs and updates are made this place could be a contender.

We truly expect very little of a motel room because we don't vacation with the intention to spend vast amounts of time in the room. Our only requirements are hot shower and clean bed. The beds were clean and actually fairly comfortable. The shower was HOT. BOILING HOT. Right in the middle of you rinsing out your hair and then it was ICE COLD. There wasn't a good happy medium and the water pressure was trash. The room was not well cleaned otherwise. There was hair all over the sink and shower. The toilet appeared to have been used and not flushed which means it also hadn't been cleaned. The vent fan in the bathroom didnt work. We could have requested another room, but again, the bed was clean and the shower worked. Our travel companions had a similar experience in their room. Overall, not a terrible place for the price. Not sure we'd stay again but it was fine for what it was for.
