Staff was EXTREMELY kind and welcoming. I assumed boat transportation would be as easy as other parts of the lake which led me to not have transportation when it was time for me to arrive at the hotel. The hotel was incredibly helpful and helped me get on a public boat which saved me from paying $100 for a public boat. The hotel is VERY secluded and it felt like I was the only person there. I definitely should have picked something closer to other towns because I felt like I wasted a day of my trip however that was 100% my fault. Would stay here again but with plans to have more of a relaxing vacation instead of traveling. Definitely don’t book if you are looking to travel around the lake and maximize your time however if you are looking for a slow relaxing day or few days this is a great option especially if you’re willing to book one of the more expensive rooms.

We had a fantastic stay at Royal Decameron Salinitas! The beach location in Acajutla is beautiful, with amazing sunsets and plenty of pools to choose from. The staff were friendly and attentive from check-in to check-out. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we loved having so many restaurant options without leaving the resort. The buffet had great variety and the a la carte nights were a nice touch. Entertainment was on point - live music, activities by the pool during the day, and shows at night. My family especially enjoyed the pools and the direct beach access. Yes, it's a big resort and it gets lively on weekends, but that's part of the fun atmosphere. For the price, the all-inclusive value is hard to beat in El Salvador. We will definitely be back!
